The Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has canceled the registrations of five housing projects by Mahira Infratech Pvt Ltd due to alleged violations. The authority took this action because the builder did not follow the rules of the RERA Act and failed to complete construction on time.

RERA revoked the registrations of all five projects on Monday, stating that Mahira Infratech had not complied with the requirements of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act 2016. The promoter is now prohibited from accessing websites related to these projects, and their name will be listed as defaulters on RERA’s website.

The authority has instructed banks to freeze the projects’ bank accounts until further notice, while ensuring that the rights of homebuyers are protected under the RERA Act. RERA found that Mahira Infratech had unlawfully diverted funds from innocent homebuyers in all five projects.

The affected projects include Mahira Homes in Sector 68, 104, 103, 63A, and 95. RERA had previously inspected the construction progress at these sites on February 14.

Arun Kumar, Chairman of RERA, stated that Mahira Infratech had defaulted on various accounts, leading to the cancellation of their projects. RERA aims to protect the rights of homebuyers and is now exploring alternative options to complete these projects.
