Hollywood stars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are currently on the lookout for a new home in New York. But did you know that their potential Los Angeles residence was previously owned by Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, an Indian couple? The celebrity duo acquired the LA property from the Ambani-Piramal pair back in June of last year.
Located in the prestigious Beverly Hills area, this mansion sprawls over 38,000 square feet. It features an impressive 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an indoor pickleball court, gym facilities, a salon, spas, a sprawling 155-feet long inground infinity pool, an outdoor kitchen, and expansive lawns.
The transaction took place last June, with Jennifer and Ben reportedly purchasing the house for a staggering sum of over $61 million or approximately ₹500 crore. Ben had previously sold his Pacific Palisades home for $28.5 million in 2022, while Jennifer parted ways with her Bel-Air property for $34 million in October of the same year.
Isha Ambani’s Connection
Isha Ambani, daughter of Reliance chairperson Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, spent a significant portion of her pregnancy at this very Los Angeles mansion. Isha and Anand Piramal tied the knot in 2018, and the couple was generously gifted a mansion named Guita by Anand’s parents, Ajay and Swati Piramal. This Mumbai-based mansion, facing the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, spans over 50,000 square feet and is valued at ₹1,000 crore.
However, during Isha’s pregnancy in 2022, she predominantly resided in their Los Angeles abode. In November of the same year, Isha gave birth to twins named Krishna and Aditya.
Mansion as a Venue
Isha Ambani also graciously allowed her friend Priyanka Chopra to use the LA mansion as a venue for a screening of the 2021 Gujarati film Chhello Show, directed by Pan Nalin. This screening, held in January of last year, preceded the Oscars, where Chhello Show was India’s official entry in the Best International Film category.
