Travelers can now enjoy a seamless bus commute between the much-anticipated Jewar Airport and Pari Chowk, thanks to the recently launched bus service by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC). Starting Friday, this service embarks on a 42-kilometer journey, providing convenience to passengers. The inaugural phase of the service features a single bus and will be operational from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This initiative follows a letter from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) to the UP transport commissioner earlier this year, advocating for enhanced bus connectivity within the YEIDA sectors. MK Singh, the UPSRTC’s Regional Manager for Noida, shared that the frequency of bus trips will be adjusted based on initial passenger response.
Lalit Srivastava, Assistant Regional Manager for Greater Noida, revealed that the fare structure will entail a charge of Rs 1.3 per kilometer. Service will initiate at 8 a.m. departing from the airport, with the final trip from Pari Chowk scheduled for 5 p.m. Specific stops along the route will be finalized following the airport’s construction, focusing on passenger origins. Presently, the bus will make stops where passengers are waiting.
YEIDA has presented proposals to the transport department for two additional bus routes: one between Rabupura and Botanical Garden, and another between YEIDA’s regional office in Sector 22D and Botanical Garden. The proposals are currently under review, and officials express optimism about launching these routes as early as next month.
Arun Vir Singh, CEO of YEIDA, emphasized the necessity of accessible and economical transportation for YEIDA area residents and allottees. The proposed bus routes aim to facilitate smooth traffic for sector residents and the Authority’s designated villages.
The proposed route connecting Rabupura and Botanical Garden spans 57 kilometers and runs along the 60-meter wide YEIDA road parallel to the Yamuna Expressway. This route encompasses sectors 21, 20, 28, 17A, 26A, Salarpur underpass, Dankaur roundabout, Gautam Buddha University, YEIDA’s Pi 3 office, Pari Chowk, Jagat Farm, the District Court, the District Magistrate’s office, and Bhangel. Similarly, the route between YEIDA’s Sector 22D office and Botanical Garden covers almost all of these areas.
Previously, in March, the Authority launched a fleet of five buses, including three Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and two electric buses. This service facilitated travel between Jewar, Noida, and Pari Chowk, offering eco-friendly transportation alternatives for passengers.
For travelers seeking improved connectivity and convenient routes, these developments signify a progressive step in streamlining public transportation and enhancing accessibility for the region’s residents.
