The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced an extension to the registration deadline for its data centre plot scheme. The new deadline is now set for July 17, a two-week extension from the original date of July 3. As reported by moneycontrol, this decision was made in response to a less than enthusiastic response from potential bidders.
The scheme, which was initially launched on June 12, offers five data centre plots for sale. These plots are situated in sector 28 along the Yamuna Expressway. The offering includes three plots each measuring 40,000 square meters and two plots each measuring 20,000 square meters.
According to a YEIDA official, the extension was necessary as the initial response did not meet the required minimum number of bids per plot. As per the rules, at least three bids are needed for each plot to move forward to the auction stage. However, only one or two applications were received for most of the plots.
The reserve bidding rate for the 20,000 square meter plots ranges from Rs 14,088 to Rs 15,496.8 per square meter, depending on the location. For the larger 40,000 square meter plots, the reserve rate is slightly lower, ranging between Rs 12,819 and Rs 14,100.90 per square meter. This lower rate is due to the larger area of these plots.
YEIDA anticipates generating approximately Rs 220 crore in revenue from the auction of these data centre plots. Interested parties can access application forms on the Authority’s website and submit their applications online through the single-window portal Nivesh Mitra.
