The registration for 12,000 stalled flats in Greater Noida’s Amrapali projects is expected to begin in October, following approval from the Greater Noida Authority (Greno).
As reported by the News18, the National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC) is overseeing the completion of these projects, along with others in Noida and Greater Noida, over the next three years.
The Supreme Court-appointed receiver has received approval from Greno Authority for the registration of these flats, meaning that homebuyers may be able to celebrate Holi in their new homes, if not Diwali. NBCC has already handed over the keys to completed flats and towers to the receiver, and the Greno Authority is set to issue a conditional No Objection Certificate (NOC) for five Amrapali projects in Greater Noida West this month. This clearance will allow the registration process for these 12,000 flats to commence, likely by the first week of October.
Although high-rise societies typically require a completion certificate before registration can proceed, the Greno Authority has not issued these certificates due to outstanding dues. However, the authority has assured that registration will not be delayed, and the NBCC will complete the projects in stages, using funds from sales to settle the dues.
To facilitate the process, the Greno Authority will issue environmental clearances, fire safety certificates, and lift-related approvals for these five projects. Although the projects have faced delays, officials expect the remaining work to be completed before Holi.
NBCC has set a target of delivering 26,000 flats in the first phase of its completion efforts, which includes seven projects in Noida and Greater Noida. In the second phase, an additional 19,559 flats will be constructed across Noida, the Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida, and Meerut.
