Adani is starting a significant data collection effort for Dharavi's redevelopment in February.

Only those who lived in Dharavi before 2000 can get free housing. Concerns arise for around 700,000 residents who might be ineligible based on the last survey done 15 years ago.

The door-to-door survey will gather information using questionnaires and biometrics to ensure fairness and prevent ineligible residents from benefiting.

Despite legal challenges, Adani, working with Maharashtra, secured the bid. Global teams are involved, and redevelopment is expected to start within a year.

The Dharavi Redevelopment Authority will oversee the fair eligibility determination and the entire process.
