Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has introduced a new scheme for the allocation of data centre plots in Sector 28 along the Yamuna Expressway. The scheme, which opens on June 12 and concludes on July 3, offers five plots that will be allotted through e-auction. YEIDA is targeting a revenue of approximately Rs 220.6 crore from the sale of these plots.
The e-auction is scheduled to take place on July 17, according to a YEIDA official. Under the scheme, three plots spanning 40,000 square metres and two plots spanning 20,000 square metres are available for sale. The reserved rates for bidding range from Rs 12,819 per sq m to Rs 15,496.8 per sq m, depending on the location and size of the plot. The per-square metre rate for the larger plots is comparatively lower due to their larger area.
The YEIDA official expressed confidence in receiving a positive response for the scheme, citing the current demand for data centre plots and companies’ willingness to invest in the sector. The plots’ strategic location near the proposed Film City, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Noida International Airport, and various upcoming parks and facilities further enhances their appeal.
YEIDA is actively developing services in the region to improve connectivity. These include the planned metro line connecting the under-construction Noida International Airport with Greater Noida, as well as pod taxi services linking the proposed Film City and the upcoming airport. Additionally, YEIDA is developing a leather manufacturing park and handicraft park in Sector 28.
With the launch of this data centre scheme, YEIDA aims to leverage the growing demand for data centres and generate substantial revenue. Interested parties are encouraged to apply for these plots during the designated application period to participate in the e-auction and seize this investment opportunity.
