Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday officially launched the Pahal portal, a digital initiative by the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) aimed at transforming how more than 1.40 lakh residents manage their property-related services, as reported by The Economic Times.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Kailash Mansarovar Bhavan in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.

The newly launched portal offers a range of online services, including payment of property dues, downloading of essential documents, managing installment-based accounts, booking registries, and initiating name changes — all accessible remotely with a single click from home.

According to officials, the portal has already generated revenue of ₹161.22 crore and has approved 83 name-change requests since its soft launch. A government spokesperson highlighted that these services were previously handled through manual processes, which were often time-consuming and susceptible to errors.

The digital shift aims to enhance convenience and transparency by allowing users to access services without the need to physically visit a government office.

The Pahal portal is part of a broader push toward digitization in public service delivery across the state.
