The Noida Metro is gearing up to boost its income beyond ticket sales. It’s considering offering space for commercial development and co-working at various stations along its Aqua Line.

The Managing Director, Lokesh M, learned about the opportunities for generating revenue through non-ticket avenues on the Aqua Line. The plan involves utilizing empty areas at Sector-142 and Alpha-I metro stations for commercial purposes. At Sector-142, a space of around 1,000 square meters will be available for commercial development. NMRC (Noida Metro Rail Corporation) will provide a sample concept design, and interested parties can bid through an online tender following the provided design.

Similarly, the Alpha-I metro station will also open up space for kiosks through a similar e-tender process. Additionally, larger spaces at Sectors 81, 83, and 101 are being considered for co-working spaces or IT sector use. The NMRC plans to invite tenders for these spaces as well.

Furthermore, the NMRC aims to install power bank charging facilities across all Aqua Line stations. They will call for expressions of interest from agencies interested in providing this service within the next two weeks.

The Aqua Line spans 29.7 kilometers with 21 stations, connecting Noida and Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to Delhi.
