Efforts Underway to Restart Noida Sports City Construction After Two-Year Pause

The Noida Sports City project hit a roadblock two years ago due to concerns raised about its layout. But now, there’s a push from the UP Assembly’s Public Accounts Committee to get things back on track.

Imagine this: 10,000 homebuyers have invested in this project, eagerly waiting for progress. The committee wants the Noida Authority to give the green light to a revised plan submitted by Lotus Greens, the project’s developer in Sector 150. This approval is a big deal because it means construction can start again!

The main issue before was about having enough land for sports facilities. But guess what? Lotus Greens has worked on a new plan that promises to fix this problem. They’ve assured that 70% of the land will be dedicated to sports facilities. That’s a big step forward!

Right now, the Noida Authority is carefully checking out this new plan. Once they’re okay with it, the plan goes to their board for a chat. And if the board gives a thumbs-up, it’s off to the state government for the final nod.

This Sports City project, spread across 330 acres, had a bit of a twist. Different companies were involved in building housing projects there. But despite that, the whole project got stuck because of those concerns raised earlier.

But hey, the assembly committee is feeling pretty good about this. They’re optimistic that everything will be sorted out and that Sports City will meet all the fancy international standards for sports facilities.

Oh, and by the way, there are plans for similar projects in four other spots in Noida, but they’re facing some tricky legal and land issues. The Sector 150 Sports City seems to be ahead in the game compared to those.
