The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has started accepting online bookings for about 10,000 ready-to-move-in flats. These flats, which include freehold properties, are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

This offering includes approximately 8,000 brand-new flats designed for people with low income and those considered economically weaker, located in Narela as part of the Diwali Special Housing Scheme’s Phase III.

“DDA introduced the Diwali Special Housing Scheme 2023 on a first-come, first-served basis on November 24, focusing on newly built flats. Initially, some high-value properties were sold through an online auction. Now, DDA continues this initiative by selling 7,931 flats under the same scheme, aiming to provide affordable housing,” the authority mentioned. This batch includes 1,420 flats for very low-income families in Sector G7 and 6,511 flats in Narela’s Pocket II.

An official shared that these flats are priced affordably, adding to the flats already sold in the first two phases of the Diwali scheme. So far, over 3,000 flats have been sold in these phases.

Bookings also opened for 445 flats for middle-income families in Sector A1-A4, Narela, under an earlier phase of the scheme, now offered at discounted prices. This part of the scheme was paused for an auction and is now back.

“DDA decided to sell leftover middle-income flats in Sector A1-A4, Narela, with a 15% discount for everyone and a 25% discount for government employees and DDA retirees. After the discount, a flat’s price will be between Rs 85-87 lakh for the public and Rs 75-77 lakh for government employees,” DDA announced.

Responding to requests for affordable flats in different areas, DDA is now offering various flats at the previously listed prices. This includes over 1,000 flats for higher and middle-income groups in areas like Jasola, Rohini, Loknayak Puram, and Siraspur.

For instance, there are eight high-income group flats in Jasola priced at about Rs 2-2.1 crore each. In Rohini, 810 low-income group flats are available in Sector 34, and 28 in Sector 35, priced around Rs 14 lakh each. Additionally, DDA offers 107 low-income group flats in Siraspur for Rs 17 lakh each, and 89 flats in Loknayak Puram for about Rs 26-27 lakh each.
