Mumbai \ Thane: Hiranandani Group initiates a sustainable measure with the installation of Electric Vehicle charging stations in Hiranandani Estate, the township at Thane, near Mumbai. To enable sustainable living, it signs up with EV charging and battery swapping solution provider EVRE, to install and operate EV stations within the integrated township.

The facility is already functional and being utilized by residents, workforce and open for public charging on pay per use model. Electricity for the EV charging is being supplied by MSDCL, as per ‘Green Meter’ for EV charging units.  The status of charging infrastructure and booking facility will be readily available on the BLUApps operated by Hiranandani for its residents across 350acres of Hiranandani Estate township.

Commenting on this conscious action towards carbon emission via the renewable sources of Green Energy, Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Founder and MD, Hiranandani Group said that “This is an upgraded value proposition, providing excellent customer experience following the principle of Conscious Consumerism, which in turn defines well-informed business decisions that result in positive impact: socially, economically and ecologically. All the future residential projects in the township will enjoy this service, adding to the sustainable development goals and customer delight.”

“Electric Vehicles are an integral part of a futuristic sustainable mobility system that enables carbon neutrality, a step towards major environmental concern globally. This initiative at Hiranandani Estate will prove to be a path-breaking initiative by the Hiranandani Group, in sync with our ‘Green’ corporate philosophy and green economy” he concluded.

The EV stations have four functional charging points, with both slow and fast charging points for four and two-wheelers. Separate EV charging points for individual parking at the request of residents can also be installed. Future development within the township will have pre-installed charging points, cabling, and equipment with plans to scale up the facilities. It marks another step towards integrating clean renewable energy which in turn, will result in sustainable living in a truly future-ready project.

The Government of India (GoI) has been emphasizing real estate development with renewable energy as part of futuristic living and has introduced many schemes to promote the same. Hiranandani Group’s eco-friendly facility with sufficient capacity to provide EV charging for growing numbers of EV owners is a step in the right direction.
