Builders and realtors have a whole universe of untapped opportunities to explore in the world of internet. As per a recent survey, websites Indian real estate companies are far behind when it comes to having huge monthly traffic.

No developer or realtor has monthly traffic of 10 lakh on its website, as per the recent report by Colliers titled ‘Digital Real Estate – Winning the Indian Market with Data,’ ET Realty reported. Clearly, there exist a plethora of opportunities if builders can improve their online as well as the social media presence in return of boosted sales.

The report covered 50 websites, out of which only 16 had a traffic of more than 50,000 per month. While organic search accounted for more than half of all web traffic, referral contributed 28 percent. Social media links proved to the worst performer sending just 3 percent of the traffic to the sites.

If only could the realty websites can manage to improve their social media presence and engagements with the users, their reach as well as the traffic can increase manifold.

The numbers are indeed unignorable as the young Millennials depend on the smartphones and search results for most of their needs. With competition getting fierce with every passing day in the property market, internet and social media are places where the developers can make a difference by catching the attention of the buyers.

The top Indian real estate companies with the most web traffic seen in the last month are as follows:

    • Lodha (7.13 lakh)
    • Sobha (6.10 lakh)
    • Prestige (6.08 lakh)
    • Godrej Properties (5.46 lakh)
    • Mahindra Lifespaces (nearly 4.2 lakh)
