The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority on Friday announced the launch of a major infrastructure initiative with the planned development of a Multi-Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) in Sector Kappa 2, Dadri, as reported by Hindustan Times.

The project aims to strengthen the region’s logistics network, generate employment, and attract large-scale investment.

Spread across approximately 174 acres of land priced at ₹11,000 per square meter, the MMLP is part of the authority’s long-term Master Plan 2041 and is expected to attract an estimated ₹5,000 crore in investment and create around 15,000 jobs, according to officials.

“This is a unique project and a core component of Greater Noida Authority’s Master Plan 2041. It will address the expanding logistics needs of the National Capital Region and boost industrial competitiveness on a global platform,” said Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of the Greater Noida Authority.

Strategically located near the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar, the park will benefit from direct access to both the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, offering enhanced multimodal connectivity for efficient movement of goods.

It will be situated next to a 250-acre Inland Container Depot (ICD) operated by the state-owned Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR), forming an integrated cargo zone.

The logistics park will feature an intermodal container terminal to support cargo movement via road, rail, and air. Planned infrastructure includes cargo yards, cold storage warehouses equipped with automated systems, and specialized terminals for bulk and break-bulk cargo.

The project will also permit companies to operate bonded and non-bonded warehousing, along with freight forwarding and customs clearance services.

Additionally, a skill development center is planned within the complex to train workers in logistics operations and digital cargo handling.

The park will be developed under the Uttar Pradesh government’s Multi-Modal Logistics Park Policy 2024, which offers incentives to qualified investors.

As part of the launch, the Greater Noida Authority has opened an online application window for land allotment, which will remain active for one month starting Friday.

Applications will be evaluated through a two-step process. An initial screening committee will assess entries based on a marking system that considers both the scale of investment proposals and prior experience. Final approval will be handled by an allotment committee.

In the event of a tie between applicants, the authority will conduct a draw of lots.

To be eligible, companies must commit to a minimum investment of ₹1,200 crore, excluding land costs, and have at least 10 years of experience in the logistics sector—specifically in managing inland container depots or rail terminals.

The initiative marks a significant step toward establishing Greater Noida as a premier logistics and cargo hub in North India, with a focus on modern infrastructure, connectivity, and skilled workforce development.
